1.
Through research and sharing to continue to deepen our understanding
of the causes, consequences, and implications of the external
debt of the world's impoverished countries, and our knowledge
and understanding of the measures now being taken to relieve the
debt burden of the poorer countries.
2.
Through reflection and study, to develop a faith-based assessment
of the debt crisis, and use it as a window for developing a comprehensive
faith based critique of contemporary economic practices and structures.
3.
Through lobbying, advocacy, networking with other groups, and
other activities, to support actions to solve the problems of
world debt.
4.
To seek to promote awareness of the debt crisis, particularly
among our own religious congregations, promoting a sense of our
own responsibilities in relation to the debt and related economic
issues.
The
group meets once a month. Each month the date for the next meeting
is decided. You are welcome to join us. For more information contact
